Burcu Kocer Oruc
Burcu Koçer Oruç, is a Delft-based artist from Türkiye, a designer, and children's book illustrator with a gentle touch and a thoughtful eye for the quiet beauty in everyday life. Burcu's illustrations feel like a soft conversation between nature and imagination, where simple objects such as vases, bicycles, and plants are given a subtle sense of movement and character.
What makes Burcu's work special is the way it balances simplicity and depth. The colors are soft yet intentional, the lines are delicate but confident, and every small detail seems to carry a quiet story. There’s a certain tenderness in the way a branch stretches across a page or how the pattern on a vase seems to breathe, inviting you to pause and look a little longer.
Inspired by the natural world, fleeting moments, and the charm of the ordinary, Burcu creates art that doesn’t shout for attention, instead, it gently draws you in. It’s the kind of work that feels at home in a cozy corner of a room, adding a sense of calm and creativity to any space.
At the heart of it all, Burcu is simply someone who loves to create — not for grandeur, but for the quiet joy of capturing a feeling or a moment. Each piece is a small offering of beauty, a reminder that there is art to be found in the everyday if we only slow down enough to notice it.
